Hedy Lamarr was an Austrian actress who created Wi-Fi. Hedy originally created Wi-Fi during WWII where it was called the Secret Communications System. The Secret Communications System was a way of changing radio frequencies to prevent enemies from intercepting coded messages. Later on, after WWII had ended the Secret Communications System was used in phones and military communication devices. Now in the 21st century we call the Secret Communications System Wi-Fi.
